SEN Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking a patient, caring, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a welcoming and inclusive school in Milton Keynes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support and encouragement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
* Provide 1:1 or small group support, as directed by the class teacher
* Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar settings)
* Be patient, empathetic, and flexible in approach
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Hold relevant qualifications or be willing to undergo training
* Be available for an immediate start
