Primary Teacher - KS2 (MLD and SCLN)

Location: Bromley
Pay: £180-£260 per day (Main Pay Scale)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

A supportive and community-focused SEN school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join their team. This full-time position is ideal for a compassionate educator looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of KS2 pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Speech, Communication and Language Needs (SCLN).



The Primary Teacher Role


As a Primary Teacher in this welcoming Sydenham SEN school, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of KS2 pupils with MLD and SCLN. You will work closely with the school's multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to help each child build confidence, communication, and independence.

The successful Primary Teacher will bring creativity, empathy, and adaptability to the role-creating a nurturing classroom where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities

1. Deliver and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of KS2 pupils with MLD and SCLN.

2. Create and implement individual learning plans to promote communication and independence.

3. Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists, SENCOs, and other professionals.

4. Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring learning goals are met.

5. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.



Primary Teacher Requirements

6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

7. Experience teaching KS2 pupils, ideally within SEN, MLD, or SCLN settings.

8. Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and communication strategies.

9. Excellent teamwork, empathy, and classroom management skills.

10. A passion for helping every child achieve their best.
