Driver Hire is looking for a Yard Operative/Driver to join one of our very well-established clients based in the Horsham area. It is a temp to perm full-time opportunity for the right candidate. You will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and organised operation of the depot and vehicle fleet
About the role
1. Monday to Friday – shifts are flexible – starting between 7:00 to 8:00 am – 7.4 hours daily
2. Ensuring all equipment and materials are stored correctly and safely
3. Managing the organised and safe parking of vehicles upon their return to the depot
4. Transporting parts, tools, and vehicles for MOTs and other inspections, contributing to the maintenance and repair of the fleet
5. Moving a wide range of vehicles within the depot as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
6. Assisting with vehicle reversing and parking when required
7. Supporting the transportation of crew members to various locations to help maintain an efficient service
Qualifications/Experience
8. A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role is required
9. You must hold a CatB driving license, however a 7.5T Licence is preferrable
10. Be able to operate the vehicle responsibly and safely, ensuring loads are safe and secure.
11. No more than 6 points, with no major endorsements/convictions. No (CD/IN/DR/TT)
12. Would need to live within 15 miles of the workplace in Horsham
13. Right to work in the UK

14. £27,254 up to £29,540 PAYE or pro-rata if part-time
