Location: Glasgow, G3 6RQ
Grade 3 - £24,685 - £27,319 per annum
Permanent - 35 hours per week
The Student Support and Development department at Glasgow School of Art is seeking to appoint an Administrator (1.0 FTE / 35 hours per week) to provide efficient administrative and first-point-of-contact support to the department.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for enquiries to a range of staff and students with a diverse range of interests, requirements and needs receiving and responding to queries and redirecting queries, as appropriate.
You will be expected to undertake a wide range of administrative duties and responsibilities and will have excellent organisational and administrative skills with a particular focus on managing appointments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the Student Support office.
Successful candidates will have a 'can do' attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and producing accurate work to tight deadlines.
To be considered for this role, you will be educated to a minimum of Higher-Grade level, or equivalent, with previous experience in a similar environment. You will be IT literate, with experience of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel and you will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills. You will be able to work in a team environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to organise your own workload and use your own initiative within a busy office environment.
