As part of the international Unum Group, we’re on a collective mission to help the working world thrive.## **The role**12 DevOps Engineer Hybrid – Dorking or Basingstoke 3 days a week minimum in officeWe are hiring a DevOps Engineer, who will be a key member of the UK Engineering and DevOps Team, providing expertise and automation solutions to the wider IT Delivery department.Key Responsibilities:* Design, build, and configure software solutions with minimal supervision.* Collaborate within an agile team to deliver a high-quality Developer Platform.* Support delivery teams with configuration of CI/CD pipelines and SDLC tooling.* Adopt, demonstrate, and share good DevOps and Platform Engineering practices.* Collaborate with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Information Security.* Ensure that solutions are secure and scalable. Comply with defined standards and best practices.Skills and Experience:* Software development experience in at least one of Node.js, .NET, Python, Azure, Powershell, bash.* Strong technical design, problem-solving, and documentation skills.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.* Working knowledge of DevOps concepts, security, and practices.* Experience with modern technologies such as virtualisation, containerisation, and cloud (preferably Azure).* Confident when consulting with delivery teams.
