What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Lead and resolve complex ER cases with fairness and consistency
* Manage and develop a team of HR Admins and Coordinators (including payroll)
* Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and site culture initiatives
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning
* Coach managers on policy, performance, and capability issues
* Maintain accurate HR records and deliver insightful people data reports
* Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Strong proven experience within a generalist HR role
* Strong ER and payroll experience in a fast-paced environment
* Working knowledge of UK employment law
* Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills
* Experience using HR systems and Time & Attendance platforms
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or willing to work towards)
