Youth Justice Practice Manager South Gloucestershire Council South Gloucestershire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Youth Justice Practice Manager to provide vital operational leadership within our Youth Justice Service (YJS). We are looking for a committed professional ready to champion our child-centred approach and drive critical service improvements. Key Responsibilities and Objectives This role is designed to enable and provide high-level management capacity and leadership, focusing on service quality and strategic development: * Operational Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operational service delivery, ensuring consistent high quality and effective case management. * Supervision and Development: Provide high-quality supervision and leadership to staff, supporting them to deliver excellent practice with children. * Post-Inspection Focus: Take a leading role in addressing the recommendations from the recent YJ inspection, driving the service's action plan forward. * Victim Service Improvement: Focus on improving our work with victims, ensuring we are offering a personalised and individualised service to meet their needs. * Participation: Continue to develop the YJS’s recognised participation work with children and young people. Core Experience * Extensive experience and knowledge of working in Youth Justice Services. * Proven experience of managing and supervising youth justice staff to a high standard. * Proficiency in using youth justice case management systems (e.g., Childview). Qualifications * A professional qualification (e.g., Social Work, Probation) is desirable. * Alternatively, candidates must possess extensive management experience in the youth justice field and hold a degree-level qualification
