Reporting into the Analytics Tagging and Infrastructure Lead you will support the product and data teams to ensure they have robust measurement and reporting in place for their platforms and features, and work collaboratively with the group digital analytics team and other key stakeholders across both Group and our local brands.
What's the job
1. Collaborate with the measurement, product and analytics teams, as well as our brands to define tag implementation requirements.
2. Proactively analyse data quality to ensure consistent and concise data is available to the business.
3. Support the measurement strategy by delivering tagging solutions for websites and native apps, implementing tags and scripts to achieve this and working with engineering teams to develop and evolve the data layer.
4. Assist investigations to understand the root cause of any tagging issues or data inaccuracies, and help to define and deliver future-proof plans for fixes.
5. Integrate into release pipelines ensuring high quality change management, ensuring our platforms, products and solutions are robust and performant.
6. Maintain high-quality 3rd party integrations with various vendors in terms of data collection, consistency and quality.
7. Ensure that tag management and analytics platforms are closely aligned to provide uniform tracking across platforms and brands.
8. Help to support the development and skills growth of the Measurement team by sharing knowledge and standard methodologies from experience.
9. Stay connected to the external market to identify the new & emerging trends, technologies and channels which will be powering the digital content growth in future years and share this insight back into the wider team and our banners.
What you'll bring
10. You have experience in a technical implementation role such as Implementation Analyst, Web Analyst or Implementation Engineer
11. Experience of working with both web analytics tracking, including:Understanding tracking specifications to craft and implement solutionsImplementation of tracking tags / codeDebugging analytics tracking during development or to investigate issuesWorking alongside an engineering/product team to implement trackingTesting and validating tracking and data qualityMobile tracking experience a bonus but not crucial
12. You have a solid understanding of analytics tools and tracking code, including:Digital analytics platforms, including Google Analytics (GA360, GA4)Tag Management systems, such as Google Tag Manager or Tealium iQJavaScriptExperience with server-side solutions is a bonus, ( Tealium EventStream)
