Set within a peaceful countryside environment with extensive outdoor grounds, this established healthcare facility provides a therapeutic setting that supports recovery, wellbeing, and rehabilitation for individuals receiving specialist mental health care.

The Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to achieve greater independence, improve daily functioning, and work towards their personal recovery goals. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and deliver person-centred interventions that promote wellbeing and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment plans focused on improving functional independence.
  • Support service users in achieving goals related to self-care, education, employment, leisure, and community engagement.
  • Recommend and facilitate the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications where appropriate.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions through both one-to-one and group-based sessions.
  • Utilise a range of occupational therapy approaches, including therapeutic activities, sensory-based interventions, and coping skills development.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as required.
  • Work closely with nursing staff, psychologists, psychiatrists, support workers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
  • Liaise with families, carers, and relevant stakeholders to support positive outcomes for service users.
  • Advocate for service users and promote best practice within healthcare and community settings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience within mental health, rehabilitation, or a related healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

If you are a motivated Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, we would welcome your application.
