GENERAL FUNCTION
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance duties to keep all production equipment in optimal condition.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Communicate with Autotech and operator teams on previous shifts, discuss issues, and diagnose complex equipment problems, ensuring timely resolution. Notify supervisors of major repairs.
* Calibrate and adjust equipment as scheduled or required.
* Develop predictive maintenance procedures to optimize component lifespan without compromising equipment performance.
* Understand automation components such as pneumatics, electronics, sensors, and switches.
* Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
* Review work orders and collaborate with operators to identify mechanical or human errors affecting equipment.
* Set up, test, and operate equipment to ensure proper functioning and analyze malfunctions.
* Maintain logs of performance issues, repairs, calibrations, and tests.
* Calibrate testing instruments and repaired equipment to specifications.
* Consult with customers, supervisors, and engineers to resolve system operation and maintenance issues.
* Advise supervisors on customer satisfaction, product performance, and improvement suggestions.
* Ensure equipment compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
* Operate within Utilities, Processing, and Packaging processes.
* Participate in LEAN continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support daily maintenance and repair goals.
* Revise and create ISO documents (SOPs, work instructions, POIs, MFGs, MCNs, JSA’s).
* Assist in understanding real-time data from production systems.
* Reference safety and procedural documents as needed.
* Collaborate with Lead and Senior Autotech on equipment layout and system issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Equivalent to an apprenticeship or 3-4 years’ experience in electrical/electronics, or certifications in these fields.
* Knowledge of control systems like PLC, Fanuc, Siemens, DCS, Wonderware, and Intellution.
* Strong electro-mechanical and automation skills.
* Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance software.
* Familiarity with building maintenance software and TMS database.
* Knowledge of CI tools, adult learning principles, OEE, and TPM.
* Experience with Rockwell Automation SLC and Control Logix using RSLogix 500/5000.
* Proficiency with diagnostic and programming software.
* Understanding of Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Leadership experience preferred.
