What you'll be doing:
To support the audit function and the business by delivering high quality deep dive audits across a range of topics. Internal auditors will own deep dive reviews and occasionally assist in delivering our agile audit and consultancy services. In performing their role, the internal auditor will help provide assurance across a range of processes
●Perform deep-dive internal audits in accordance with the audit methodology to provide evidence-based opinions on the control framework, risk management and culture & accountability within budget/deadlines.
●Explain and draft audit findings and reports in a concise and clear manner for review by audit management.
●Assist in gathering business intelligence and reporting any insights to the Internal Audit Leadership Team.
●Provide assigned consultancy services to help the business understand the issues they are managing and work through potential solutions to these issues.
●Working with other assurance providers, particularly the second line of defence, to ensure that our work is aligned.
●Follow up, assess and provide assurance on actions from completed audits.
What we’re looking for:
●Experience of working as an internal auditor and able to demonstrate the application of audit principles
●Previous financial services experience
●Strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills
●Attention to detail
●Uses initiative when it comes to work and problem solving
●Able to understand complex process to identify and communicate risks, issues and root causes.
●Able to converse with a range of different personalities
