Youth and Leisure Manager – Permanent, Part time: 18 hours per week, 52 weeks
Trinity Field Leisure services is a Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) registered service providing short time, out of school play / care for children aged 4 -17 years old with severe/ complex learning and physical disabilities, who live in borough and are on the Trinity Fields School Register.
This role is to provide operational management on a day-to-day basis and to be the registered Responsible Individual for the service in Line with the CIW regulations and the statement of purpose for the service.
Building on the exceptional work of the previous post holder, a unique opportunity has arisen for a new manager to take this service forward. The new Youth and Leisure Manager will be responsible for driving the service forward and in collaboration with the school and social services, to ensure it is fit for the future.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet the minimum qualification levels and have extensive experience of working with children with severe/complex learning and physical disabilities in a statutory or regulated play, care or education setting, with additional experience of staff supervision or management in any setting.
The role is offered as an 18hr/week contract to be worked on a flexible basis to meet the requirements of the service. This role is ideally suited to candidates wishing to combine it with another role e.g. in a school, care provision or other part time job. It is equally suitable to be taken as a stand-alone position.
You will be expected to work flexibly and to manage your own time. Due to the nature of provision being outside school hours, your core hours will be outside of school hours, with administrative time that can be flexible within traditional school hours.
You will be required to be available and working on rota basis with senior staff in the service, when the scheme operates:
-Saturdays – daytimes
- Week days in school holidays (Excluding Christmas)
- Potentially after school clubs
-Administration time – can be taken flexibly during the week.
