An established structural steel fabrication and engineering business is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead its design team across a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from major stadium structures to residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the structural steel design team.
* Oversee the design process from concept through to fabrication.
* Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
* Review and approve drawings, models, and technical documentation.
* Attend site visits and project meetings when required.
* Ensure designs comply with industry standards and project specifications.
Requirements
* Strong experience within the structural steelwork industry.
* Background in design management, steel detailing, or structural design.
* Experience working with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects across commercial and residential sectors.
* Experience with Tekla or similar design software is desirable.
