Due to an acquisition by a multi-national organisation, they are now looking to hire a Quality Technician to join their team in Harrogate. The role involves carrying out various testing in the lab, supporting QA tasks in the factory including auditing and walkarounds. The position is suitable for a recent Chemistry graduate, with or without industrial experience, interested in starting their career in a multi-faceted role.
Note: This is a shift-based role. Candidates need their own transport or must be willing to relocate to Harrogate.

Role / Description
* Performing various laboratory tests (approx. 70% of time)
* Conducting microbiology testing: plating, filtration, colony identification
* Performing wet chemistry (pH and elemental) and sensory testing
* Supporting QA tasks (approx. 30% of time)
* Internal audits of production facilities for regulatory compliance
* Maintaining the on-site QMS
* Supporting external regulatory audits
* Working safely in accordance with safety procedures, COSHH, and quality standards
Requirements
* Recent graduate with a degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or similar
* Interest or experience in FMCG manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
* Willing to work shifts, including weekends
* Self-motivated, proactive, eager to learn
* Organised, good communicator, attentive to detail
* Able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
