Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Role Overview
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of our plant equipment and facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring machine uptime, troubleshooting faults, and supporting production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions.
* Work with PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and automated systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, and energy efficiency.
* Complete accurate maintenance records and reports using the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
* Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Essential:
* Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial/metal processing environment.
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Familiarity with both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
