About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Horwich‑based primary school. This full‑time position is based within our Reception (EYFS) class, supporting children at the very beginning of their learning journey.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support high‑quality teaching and learning in the Reception classroom
* Work 1:1 and with small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
* Assist with play‑based and outdoor learning activities
* Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
* Contribute to planning, preparation of resources, and classroom organisation
* Support children with personal, social, and emotional development
* Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff

What We’re Looking For

* Have experience working with children in Early Years / EYFS
* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
