The role of Clinical Educator Ostomy involves educating and supporting healthcare professionals and internal teams on Ostomy care, identifying knowledge gaps, and supporting clinical questions. You will collaborate with field teams, advise on our product range, and work with KOLs and advocates on service development, research, and educational programs. You will also produce educational materials and align with global medical strategies.
The main responsibilities include:
* Providing expert clinical advice
* Developing and delivering education and training
* Conducting research and audits
* Providing leadership and consultancy
Territory: London Area - South/East
Key duties and responsibilities:
Clinical Support
* Provide clinical insights to support product usage and patient referrals.
* Pass sales opportunities to Business Development or Product Specialist teams.
* Support contract and tender processes with clinical input.
* Build relationships with healthcare professionals to develop services and referrals.
* Develop and update clinical induction training for new staff.
* Act as a role model in clinical practice and adhere to standards and guidelines.
* Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and procedures.
* Participate in sales and marketing meetings to stay informed.
* Collaborate with internal teams and attend conferences to enhance knowledge and relationships.
Education & Training
* Create educational materials and deliver sessions for professionals, end users, and internal teams.
* Conduct educational programs and product updates for clinical teams within DACs.
* Maintain expertise in ConvaTec Ostomy products and services.
* Represent the company at conferences and events to promote brand awareness.
Research & Insight
* Maintain confidentiality and data security in line with policies.
* Develop relationships with KOLs and support global initiatives.
* Organize advisory boards and support research activities.
* Attend external courses and meetings for professional development.
Your Profile
* Qualified Nurse RGN (essential)
* Nursing Degree or equivalent
* Recognized Stoma Care Qualification
* Valid driving license
* Experience in stoma care or colorectal area
* Post-registration training and development
* Disclosure and Barring Service check
Experience & Knowledge
* Desirable: Commercial experience
* Ability to identify business opportunities
* Experience in hospital and community settings
* Knowledge of Ostomy products and DACs
* Experience working with clinicians and patients
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
Travel Requirements
* Daily travel within territory, including acute settings
* Occasional overnight stays for meetings and conferences
