We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor that has recently secured several five-year clean and wastewater framework contracts across South and West Wales. As a result of these major contract awards, the business is expanding its commercial team and is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of these long-term infrastructure projects.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will support the commercial management of either a major project valued at approximately £10 million or assist in managing multiple smaller schemes running concurrently across the framework. The role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector, or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career and progress into a Quantity Surveyor position.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the commercial management of projects from start through to final account
* Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
* Preparing valuations, variations, and cost reports
* Supporting the preparation and submission of applications for payment
* Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial success
Requirements
* Experience within the civil engineering sector
* Working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential)
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Ability to support multiple projects within a framework environment
* Water sector experience desirable but not essential
