The post holder plays a key ‘property expert’ role within the Authority’s Corporate Estate Management Team with responsibility for ensuring a ‘fit for purpose’ and sustainable property portfolio is implemented through a robust and realistic Estates Strategy, supported by accurate and up to date ‘property intelligence’.
The post holder will be involved in key tasks to support Estates functions across the County, including the property disposal process across our wide Estate. This will include playing a key role in the property disposal process, including site visits, maintaining property records and liaising with colleagues & joint venture partners to present findings.
This role is pivotal in ensuring we drive forward change and transformation and that we have safe, well managed and financially sustainable property assets via our Property Change Programme.
You will join a fast-paced team, offering a wide variety of diverse tasks and development opportunities.
You will need to demonstrate strong teamworking skills, being flexible and supportive to ensure business needs are met. You will be required to work on site at County Hall, Exeter 2/3 days a week, with hybrid working an option, along with travel required to various Devon County Council sites across the County to meet business needs.

Please note - despite Farms Estate being included in the job description, the management of the Farms Estate will NOT form part of this role and sits with another post holder within the Corporate Estates Team.
