Role description
Ardagh Glass UK are recruiting for a multiskilled apprentice to join our Knottingley team. Our apprenticeship programme gives you the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification & carry out workplace training in a challenging yet exciting manufacturing industry!
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting the engineering teams with maintenance tasks to learn about the different applications of engineering.
2. Developing skills in different aspects of engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manual machining and fabrication) within a manufacturing work environment.
3. Gaining a sound knowledge of the plant equipment, facilities and processes.
4. Developing an understanding of Continuous Improvement.
5. Familiarisation with the company’s systems and procedures.
6. Sourcing and updating engineering documentation and inputting engineering activities into a maintenance system.
Required skills / qualifications:
7. Have an interest in manufacturing engineering and the drive to succeed.
8. Have strong communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
9. Have a high regard for safety, quality, compliance, systems and procedures.
10. A technical mind with a methodical approach to tasks and problems.
11. Have a minimum grade 4 (C) GCSE or above in Maths, English and Science.
What we offer
12. Salary Minimum Year 1 £13,633 - £23,371 Maximum Year 4
