We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Fellow (ST5+) to join our team based across both St Bartholomew’s Hospital and University College London Hospital.
Main duties of the job
These posts provide exposure to a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions and are suitable for those with a good grounding in general cardiology who wish to gain experience in advanced imaging/specialised cardiology. The Barts imaging/specialised clinical fellow post has a track record of successfully transitioning many fellows into cardiology consultant posts across the UK and internationally

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. The applicant must have achieved a primary medical qualification as recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
2. Current Full GMC registration with a license to practice
3. MRCP UK (or Equivalent)
Desirable criteria
4. Certification/accreditation in cardiac imaging (any modality)/inherited cardiac disease/cardio-oncology /heart failure
5. Current ALS certification
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Experience in general cardiology at ST3+ level (e.g. independent in transthoracic echocardiography, comfortable in managing acutely unwell cardiology patients on the wards)
Desirable criteria
7. Previous experience in advanced cardiac imaging
Knowledge
Essential criteria
8. The applicant must be familiar with and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the major principles of the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2006)
