We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Gower, our prison education provider at HMP Parc, working as a Cover Supervisor. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 40 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Parc is a Category B men’s prison located in Bridgend, Wales. The prison accommodates individuals who have been convicted of various offenses requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.
Role Responsibilities
As a Cover Supervisor you will develop and deliver high quality, learner‑focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus Gower policies and procedure. The attached Tutor role profile provides an overview of general role responsibilities. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
* Have experience creating stimulating, vibrant environments conducive to learning and motivating learners
* Experience achieving quality targets
* Experience producing accurate and timely reports
* Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrate the ability to motivate and enthuse learners
* Have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and targets
* Always commit to positive teamworking
* Hold a teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification – with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months (Desirable, but not essential)
