About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a busy and dynamic family office based in Harborne. This is a varied role offering exposure to a broad range of financial activities.
You will provide comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting support to the Finance Director/Finance Manager, while also assisting with administrative duties across the family office.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain cash books and supporting financial documentation
* Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, ensuring accurate data entry into accounting systems
* Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
* Prepare supplier payment runs and monitor bank account balances
* Accurately record and analyse expenses
* Identify and flag inconsistencies to support accurate financial reporting
* Maintain supporting spreadsheets and assist with ad hoc reporting
* Provide support with financial analysis as required
* Assist with the monthly payroll process
* Undertake additional administrative and finance-related duties as needed
About You
* Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Good working knowledge of accounting software and Excel
* Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
