Are you a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer looking for your next challenge?
Due to expanding workload, we are seeking a Chartered (or Nearly Chartered) Engineer to join our Building Structures Team in Birmingham. You will manage design production for diverse projects across the UK and abroad, focusing on innovative, ethical, sustainable, and responsible solutions that improve living and working environments.
Atkins Réalis Building Design provides engineering services for projects in education, commercial, industrial, residential, defense, energy, and transportation sectors. This role offers opportunities to work on high-profile projects that will develop your skills and career.
Qualifications and qualities required:
* Chartered Engineer, MIStructE, or MICE (or nearly Chartered).
* Experience leading small projects and managing project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
* Experience designing with common structural materials and understanding current standards and practices.
* Proven ability to develop projects from concept to construction.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interaction.
* Decision-making ability, initiative, and proactive approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
* Providing high-quality structural engineering design.
* Acting as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and design teams.
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
* Managing time effectively across multiple projects.
* Building client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
* Security clearance may be required; employment contingent on clearance.
