The ideal candidate will have worked in a fast-paced company, have a minimum of 1 year of forklift driving and valid licences, as well as warehouse experience
Title: Warehouse Operative,
This is a full time role, Monday-Friday, 09:30 - 18:00. Weekend work may be required along with flexibility to cover other shifts to meet the needs of the business.
Your duties will mainly consist of unloading and loading of goods, receipt of trailers and containers, inspection of deliveries, checking off paperwork, solving discrepancies, effectively dealing with drivers.
Stripping down and building pallets & wrapping/banding and prepping them for loading.
Stock management, shelf-life control, physical checks of inventory and equipment, organising and maintaining stock in the warehouse. You may also be required to assist in carrying out stocktakes.
You will need to carry out general warehouse housekeeping duties including ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse.
You will work in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring all equipment used is pre checked prior to shift commencement. Reporting any defects, H&S hazards and issues to line management. Complying with Company policy and procedure in wearing PPE, following health and Safety, requesting holidays etc.
Duties include cleaning and tidying of certain areas of the warehouse, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products and ensuring equipment is properly charged and cared for.
