Are you a recent law graduate ready to begin your career in a professional and supportive environment? Join Strata Solicitors, Gallagher’s in-house law firm, as a Recovery Claims Handler, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing claims, sharpening your legal skills, and delivering outstanding client service from day one. After successfully completing your probation period (typically 3 months), you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home two days a week. Our offices are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and you’ll work a total of hours per week within that timeframe. To support your career progression, we’ll also contribute financially for you to gain a professional legal qualification or Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) accreditation. Your Role and Responsibilities You’ll handle a caseload of uninsured loss recovery claims using our case management system. Working with insurers and third parties, you’ll resolve liability issues and secure timely settlements for clients. Building strong client relationships through efficient service. Keeping claim records accurate and up to date. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Evaluating when litigation is appropriate to protect client interests. About You We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a legal environment. The ideal candidates will be: A fast learner, able to make sound decisions quickly. Skilled in negotiation and communication, both written and verbal. Comfortable using the phone to resolve issues. Team-oriented, but able to work independently. Detail-focused and organized in a fast-paced setting. Positive, proactive, and proud of their work. Familiarity with the Highway Code is helpful but not required.
