ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part‑time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid four weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check – which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
Lady living near Rhydlafr, requires a personal assistant to support her to maximise her independence.
She is looking for someone who is quiet, caring and understanding and can follow written guidance notes/ daily instructions independently to do duties to help with her daily care.
It is essential to be an excellent communicator and fluent in English (written and verbal). She has ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and has some limitations with a back/ pelvis condition and anxiety. An understanding of these conditions and/ or willingness to learn about them is preferred.
HOURS OF WORK
11.75 hours p/w, weekdays only, over 3 to 5 days.

RATES OF PAY
£14.80 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
* Preparing and cooking meals and snacks in accordance with dietary advice.
* Prompting with eating and drinking
* Personal care- partial assistance with bathing/showering including washing hair.
* Support with changing bedding if required
* Assistance with phone calls/ correspondence

* Due to Multiple Chemical Sensitivity condition (M.C.S) associated with M.E/C.F.S, applicants must adhere to not wearing any chemically based fragrances on their person or clothes (i.e. including hair products, deodorant, perfume, washing powder, fabric conditioner)
* A non-smoker from a non-smoking household is also essential for the above reason
