An opportunity has arisen within the Bradford Council's Catering and Cleaning Services for an Assistant Chef Manager to join their team at the Burley & Woodhead CE Primary School, assisting the Chef Manager in the smooth running of the kitchen.

Main Responsibilities
•Support the Chef Manager in delivering a high quality catering service.
•Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene and safe working practices.
•Assist with financial and operational tasks such as monitoring food costs.
•Communicate effectively, lead the team when required, handle problems calmly and professionally.
Essential Skills
•Ability to prepare, cook and present food to a high standard.
•Ability to read, understand and comply with written instruction.
•Able to assist the Chef Manager in leading.
•Familiar with and able to use an electronic tablet or smart phone type technology.
Desirable Skills
NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation or equivalent i.e. City & Guilds 706/1 & 2
