A client of mine who is a Large Housing Association and Property Maintenance Company are looking to recruit an experienced electrician to join their Property Maintenance Team in the Berkshire area on a permanent basis.
This role involves time on the road; you will be provided with a van and fuel card.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers' homes as part of the Electrical Team.
* Carry out occupied and unoccupied rewires.
* Undertake responsive repairs and works within planned teams in line with schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations, and clients' standard procedures.
* Estimate, requisition and recommend acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure suitable repairs and maintenance, in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
* Record and report on status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.
* Engage with internal and external customers.

Qualifications
* Experience within a similar role, preferably in the residential/housing sector.
* Minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition (BS 7671) and City & Guilds 291 Electrical Test/Inspect.
Working Conditions
This is a full‑time role, working 40 hours per week, with opportunities to supplement the salary through call‑out and overtime at competitive rates.
Candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
The role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic disclosure.
Applicants will be expected to travel within the Berkshire area.
