Pay & Hours:
* £12.22 per hour
* 16 hours per week (10am - 4pm, over 4 days)
* Shift pattern: Mornings, afternoons & evenings, as well as weekend shifts available. Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
The Role:
Activities are a vital part of our daily routine at HICA, reflecting the interests and capabilities of all those we support. All group and individual activities are designed to mentally and physically stimulate, enhance life skills, and foster feelings of purpose and self-worth.
As an Activities Support Worker, you will organize and plan weekly activities tailored to meet the individual needs of our service users, promoting independence and making each day fulfilling. Examples include seasonal activities like painting Easter eggs, designing Christmas cards, arts and crafts, music & movement, gardening, and outings in the local community.
About you:
* Previous care work experience is advantageous.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults with Dementia is advantageous.
* Experience in planning and implementing activities or events.
* Excellent customer care knowledge.
* Ability to keep accurate and detailed records.
* Ability to work independently and use your initiative.
* Understanding of confidentiality.
* Ability to work within a budget.
