Contract Details
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Location: While you will be working from the Stirling Service point, you will be primarily working on wind farms in the Stirling / Carron Valley locations with travel to the Westfield site in Fife. Candidates must live within a 45‑minute commute of Stirling.
* Hours: Core hours 37 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 8 am – 1 pm) with overtime required. On‑call weekend availability every 2nd or 3rd weekend. Overtime paid at time‑and‑half; additional payment on on‑call weekend.
Key Responsibilities
* On‑site performance analysis and action plan implementation.
* Work closely with Technicians and Back Office staff for on‑job demonstrations.
* Support on‑site single turbine improvements on problem turbines.
* Provide on‑site software & hardware updates.
* Support online and phone technical support.
* Create reports on turbines or turbine components.
* Parameter disabling and alarm change handling when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate has experience working in the Mechanical / Electrical industry and can demonstrate knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams. Mechanical or Electrical training through time‑served or a technical college qualification at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Ability to identify problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions.
* Ability to adapt to continuous change and different challenges.
* Positive attitude with willingness to learn, lead and continuously improve.
* Computer literate: confident in MS Office, in‑house databases and workload management systems.
* Capable of working at heights up to 140 m; fit and able to pass a working‑at‑height test.
* Occasional travel including nights away from home.
* Full UK / EU Driving Licence required.
