We are assisting a Local Authority in the appointment of an experienced Child andFamily Practitioner to join their Team in Walsall!
Within this role, you will be expected to work effectively with families and others using a restorative approach by offering high quality support and interventions to help stabilise children, young people and their families to remain together.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
* Deliver parenting interventions to expectant parents, focusing on preparing them for parenthood.
* Utilise expertise in parenting techniques and strategies to support mothers and fathers.
* Provide practical and emotional support to expectant parents throughout the pregnancy and postnatal period.
* Engage with both mothers and fathers to ensure comprehensive support for the family unit.
* Collaborate with parents to develop parenting skills and establish a nurturing environment for the child.
* Work alongside social workers to identify and mitigate risks to the well-being of the child and family.
* Address needs identified through assessments to promote a safe and supportive environment for the child.
To be a successful candidate for this role you must have the following:
* Previous experience of direct work with children and families.
* Full UK Drivers License and use of your own vehicle.
