About Our Client
Michael Page are working with a highly successful, industry leading business going through a period of continued growth. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their dynamic Finance team as a VAT Accountant.
Job Description
Duties include:
3. Preparing periodic UK and European VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
4. Handling monthly Intrastat and ESCL reporting for European VAT registrations
5. Performing pre- and post-submission audit checks
6. Reconciling VAT returns to balance sheet and other returns
7. Maintaining complete indirect tax records
8. Collaborating with stakeholders within the wider finance team and across the business
9. Engaging in automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the indirect tax function
10. Assisting with both internal and external audits
The Successful Applicant
The candidate will have/be:
11. Part qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
12. A strong understanding and direct experience of VAT
13. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
14. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
15. Previous Oracle experience - Desirable
16. High attention to detail and levels of accuracy
