We are looking for an enthusiastic Violin Teacher to join our growing team of musicians. The role will involve teaching on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (until 3:30pm) each week, with the possibility of additional opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging violin lessons to individuals and small groups.
* Teach core violin techniques including posture, bow hold, fingering, tone production, and intonation.
* Support students in preparing for performances, school concerts, and graded music exams.
* Encourage creativity, enjoyment, and confidence through varied repertoire.
* Work collaboratively with the current violin teacher to develop and grow the programme.
* Maintain a positive and professional classroom environment in line with school standards and safeguarding requirements.
Skills & Qualities:
* Skilled violinist with strong communication and teaching skills.
* Passionate about working with young people and inspiring them through music.
* Organised, reliable, and committed to high standards of music education.
* Team player, able to work alongside other musicians and school staff.
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
* Solid knowledge of violin technique and confidence in teaching beginners through to more advanced pupils.
* Experience preparing students for performances or exams is desirable (training can be provided).
