Operations / Practice Manager Financial Services
Our client, a well-established financial services firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice/Operations Manager to join their growing practice. This is a pivotal role that combines operational excellence with strategic project management and growth planning. You will be instrumental in driving the efficiency, development, and expansion of the practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services
* Implement and maintain operational systems, processes, and procedures
* Manage resource allocation and workflow optimisation
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
* Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Project Management
* Lead and deliver key strategic projects from inception to completion
* Drive technology improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects
* Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
* Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
* Identify and mitigate project risks
* Report on project progress to senior leadership
Growth & Strategic Planning
* Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the practice
* Identify new business opportunities and service offerings
* Support business development initiatives and client acquisition efforts
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity
* Create and implement strategic plans aligned with business objectives
Team Leadership
* Line manage operational staff and provide mentoring and development
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
* Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs
Essential Requirements
* CII qualification (Level 4 Diploma minimum)
* Proven experience in practice or operations management, ideally within financial services
* Strong project management skills with demonstrable track record of successful delivery
* Experience developing and implementing growth strategies
* Excellent understanding of financial services regulations and compliance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Outstanding organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in project management tools and operational systems
* Experience with technology implementation or digital transformation projects
Desirable Requirements
* Professional qualification (e.g., Prince2, PMP, or relevant financial services qualification)
* Experience with change management and business transformation
* Knowledge of CRM systems and practice management software
* Previous experience in a client-facing financial services environment
