Job summary
Calling Registered Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses. Are you passionate about mental health and learning disability care and ready for a new challenge? TEWV is developing a forward-thinking nursing vision and robust career pathways. As an RMN, you may be responsible for the day-to-day running of the ward.
This post is only open to candidates who already have their NMC registration and have completed the preceptorship programme.
Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse on inpatient units, you will be involved in formulation to discharge planning for patients, working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Each ward is equipped with activity and therapeutic spaces to support patient recovery and safe discharge into the community with support packages.

Qualifications
* Current NMC registration (RNMH, RNLD, RGN as appropriate)
* Recognised practice assessor/mentor or working towards
* Trained Clinical Supervisor (within 6 months)

Experience
* Working with mental health or learning disabilities
* Person-centred therapeutic organisation experience
* Collaborative work with service users, families, and teams
Knowledge
* Evidence-based practice in mental health and learning disabilities
* Legislation (Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act)
* Safeguarding, clinical risk assessment, governance
* Medicines management, including injections
