This is a broad and strategic role that isn't just about Finance. Yes you will be managing and leading the Finance team, have responsibility for the company's financial health but you will also be the right hand person to the MD and will support the business in achieving it's commercial objectives. As Chief Financial Officer, you will need to put process in place as even though the ground work is done, there is a considerable opportunity to advance the set-up of the function and ensure the platform for growth is in place.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of reporting, presentation of results to all stakeholders and ensure the group hit their AOP targets. You will be actively managing M & A activity as the business looks to build it's pipeline.
You will need to be very creative and get things done! You will possess gravitas and demonstrate a service ethos for your function. Culture is important to the organisation and the business is very focused on positivity, enthusiasm, passion for what you do and confidence! Resilience, of course is very important due to the nature of the role and the business moving at a million miles an hour.
The business is growing quickly and you will be someone who can LEAD and MENTOR your team and manage a wide variety of different stakeholders. You will be looking at the business commercially and how to build a stronger platform for growth. You will be strategically analysing how the business can grow even better and faster! This is a demanding role given the pace and growth of the business and it's acquisitive nature.
