The Role
An opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Deputy Team Manager in the Intermediate Care Service within Bolton Council.
The team currently has 12 full and part‑time workers, working across 5 bases/teams throughout Bolton delivering Intermediate Care services both within bed‑based units, the community and the Discharge to Assess beds.
The Deputy Team Manager will assist the Service Manager to lead and manage the team, ensuring the work is allocated effectively and completed efficiently. Due to the high demands and the fast pace of the service, support is required to ensure the ongoing timely interactions, monitoring and flow through the service to minimise the impact on other areas such as the hospital. The Deputy Manager is an important and integral part of the team, ensuring productivity whilst supporting staff and being a key contact for support and guidance.
This post offers an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of innovative ways of working across health and social care in order to improve the experience of staff, service users and carers and to promote wellbeing and independence.
The post is subject to enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
About You
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for working with people and strives to achieve the values and key principles of the organisation.
The Deputy Manager will be required to input and take part in the wider Integration agenda and ensure that the service and staff are represented and advocated on their behalf. This requires good communication skills and the confidence to represent the service and staff.
Good spoken English is required as this is a customer‑facing role under the fluency duty, and a specified level of spoken English is required as per the person specification.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
