We are searching for a dedicated Classroom Assistant to join a highly supportive and well-resourced SEN campus in Bournemouth. The school is widely praised for its caring team, inclusive environment, and creative approach to learning.
Pupils are encouraged to express themselves, explore their potential and celebrate achievements in ways that are meaningful to them.
You will be supporting students aged 5 to 18 with a range of special educational needs including ASD, Physical Disabilities (PD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
Whether you’re supporting learning in a sensory classroom or helping a student develop independence, your contribution will truly matter.
This is a full time position with an immediate start, working hours 9.30am to 4.30pm.

What the Role Involves
* Providing one to one and small group support
* Assisting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and personal development
* Engaging students through sensory play, structured routines, and creative activities
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
* Helping create a calm, positive and motivating learning environment

What We’re Looking For
* A minimum of 6 months childcare or SEN experience (school, nursery, care or similar)
* A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
* Someone who is passionate about helping young people achieve their personal best
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
