With state-of-the-art facilities in Airdrie, Scotland, Boston, and Westwick, we are committed to delivering top-quality fresh, chilled, and frozen potato products. We are looking for a skilled and proactive Multiskilled Engineer to join our dynamic team on a 4 On 4 Off shift pattern, covering both days and nights.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems
* Diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production
* Assist in the installation of new machinery and upgrades to existing equipment
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for all engineering activities
* Work collaboratively with production teams to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices at all times
* Participate in training initiatives to develop skills and knowledge of new technologies and processes
Compensation
Hourly rate: £21.68/hour plus overtime rates and shift allowance
Requirements
* Proven experience as a multiskilled engineer, ideally in a food production or manufacturing environment
* Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
* Experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly desirable
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong commitment to health and safety standards
* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends as required by the 4 On 4 Off schedule
