The company and opportunity
We are hiring for a Corporate Tax Manager to join an international accounting practice in central London. The role requires thinking outside the box and a firm grasp of the needs of a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and expert adviser for corporate tax matters.
The role suits someone who enjoys both technical tax work and client interaction, understands UK corporate tax deeply, can explain complex tax issues clearly, and enjoys international business environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of corporate clients (privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses to multinational firms).
* Guide clients on corporate tax matters, preparing and filing their corporate tax affairs.
* Play an active role in business development for the existing portfolio of clients.
* Prepare proposals and written advice across a range of topics, including multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance, cross‑border transactions, UK inbound/outbound investments, international tax and UK tax due diligence.
* Significantly contribute to the future growth of the corporate tax team and the business.
* Be client‑facing and work with the Leadership Team to oversee the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns.
* Support the wider tax team with corporate tax planning and other advisory matters.
Candidate Profile
* Fluent English is essential; fluency in a second language such as Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Russian or Turkish is preferred but not essential.
* Specialist in Corporate Tax with a mix of compliance and advisory experience.
* Experience working in a UK tax advisory and compliance department.
* ACA/ACCA qualified.
* CTA qualified advantageous – high–performing applicants with other relevant tax experience and a suitable foreign tax qualification will also be considered.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects to meet deadlines.
* Sound knowledge of UK corporate and income taxation.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary: £70,000 – £100,000. Performance‑based incentive scheme payable quarterly depending on seniority.
