Contracts Manager - Refurbishment Projects

We are a small, well-established construction company based in Burton upon Trent, specialising in a wide range of commercial refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team.
This is a key role within the business, ideal for a proactive and commercially aware individual who is comfortable managing multiple projects and working closely with site teams, clients, and directors.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple refurbishment projects from pre-start through to completion.
* Overseeing Site Managers and supporting site teams.
* Programming works and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and attending progress meetings.
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and company procedures.
* Managing subcontractor performance and procurement.
* Monitoring costs, variations, and project profitability.
* Supporting tender reviews and pre-construction planning.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within refurbishment or fit-out works.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, H&S, and contract management.
* Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously.
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously in a small business environment.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Background in commercial refurbishments.
* SMSTS and relevant H&S qualifications.
