JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plumber required for a leading Facilities Management company to carry out planned, reactive and preventative maintenance on a large commercial building in Lerwick, Shetland. Our client is looking for an experienced and hardworking Plumber to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This role will be working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (38.75 hours per week), with participation in an on-call rota.
Daily responsibilities will include:
1. Planned and reactive plumbing maintenance
2. Fault finding and repairs on plumbing systems
3. Maintenance of hot and cold-water systems
4. General pipework repairs and installations
5. Supporting compliance and health & safety procedures
6. Using PDA/tablet systems to manage and complete works
7. Assisting wider FM teams when required
8. Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Requirements for the role:
9. NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
10. Previous experience within Facilities Management or commercial maintenance
11. Experience working on commercial plumbing systems
12. Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
13. Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
14. Basic IT skills
