We are seeking an experienced Production Technician to join our busy fire door manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role where you will play a vital part in supporting production by ensuring stock is picked, handled, and delivered efficiently and accurately along with operating warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
As part of the operations team, you'll be responsible for maintaining smooth workflow across warehousing and manufacturing, ensuring health & safety procedures are followed, and upholding our high-quality standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
· Receive, check, and process all deliveries according to intake procedures
· Pick and prepare stock materials promptly and accurately for production schedules
· Support the fire door build process when required by the production team
· Work to agreed deadlines and KPIs within warehousing and production.
· Operate forklifts and machinery safely, reporting any defects or faults immediately.
· Keep workstations and the wider factory floor clean, organised, hazard-free and perform dust extraction silo emptying duties.
· Follow health & safety protocols at all times.
· Accurately follow work instructions and manufacturing process documentation.
· Conduct regular quality checks and highlight any issues promptly.
· Treat product quality and safety as the highest priorities.
· Maintain agreed stock levels and report any discrepancies in real-time.
· Assist with machinery condition checks and logging of equipment use.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
Skills, Experience & Qualities Required
· Previous experience in a Timber Fire Door Manufacturing setting.
· Experience with basic Joinery hand tools e.g. Chop Saw, Nail Guns, Battery Drills and general hand tools.
· A strong team player who can also work independently
· Punctual, proactive, and highly organised
· Good communication skills with the ability to follow clear instructions
· Problem-solving skills with a calmy and logical approach
· Committed to safe working practices and maintain a tidy workspace
· Strong attention to detail, especially with stock picking and quality control
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target driven environment
· Open to training and development to grow within the business
· Physically fit and confident using manual handling equipment.
· Forklift licence is advantageous, but training can be provided.
· Experience operating the following machinery is advantageous; Beamsaw, CNC, Edgebander, Wide belt sander, Hydraulic Hot Press for veneers and laminates.
Training & Development

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,500.00 per hour
