A leading UK environmental consultancy is hiring a Senior Flood Risk and Hydraulic Modelling Consultant to join its growing Water team. This is a technical delivery role with real responsibility. You'll lead fluvial and pluvial modelling, produce Flood Risk Assessments, and support complex developments across property, renewables, and aviation.
What you'll be doing
* Developing and running hydraulic models using Flood Modeller Pro and TUFLOW
* Producing and reviewing FRAs
* Supporting projects through planning and DCO regimes
* Liaising directly with the Environment Agency
* Identifying flood risk constraints and mitigation solutions
* Communicating results clearly to clients and project teams
What they want
* 4+ years' experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling
* Strong knowledge of NPPF and flood policy
* Confident model development, troubleshooting, and interpretation
* EA engagement experience
* GIS and AutoCAD skills
* Clear, concise technical reporting
