Evolve is currently undertaking a strategic digital transformation, with the express need to improve capacity and throughput across all areas of the business and to accelerate growth over the next five years. As part of this initiative, we have a number of streams of activity underway and this role will sit at the heart of those efforts, touching all parts of the business. You will be responsible for understanding the business challenge, soliciting and validating business requirements and liaising with the development and infrastructure squads to deliver the anticipated business value. You will be the pivotal conduit between business and development, and your user stories will shape the fortunes of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Delivery Manager in order to ensure the smooth delivery of user stories to the development team
Plan and lead workshops with stakeholders of all levels of the business to elicit and analyse requirements and to help scope and shape the required epics and features, alongside the development team
Perform investigations, gap analysis and cost benefit analysis relating to solution viability and internal vs external build or purchase
Produce the right documentation at the right time, with the knowledge and understanding to appreciate what is required and when
Conduct data analysis and build data models and present the results to Senior Stakeholders
Develop "As Is" and "To Be" Business Process maps and contribute to the roadmap that takes the former to the latter
Assist in QA activities, where required, to support the QA and the team in delivering stores and features
Manage and trace requirements and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
Identify the impacts of change, verifying readiness, and preparing stakeholders to embed change
Engage with Business Technology colleagues to smooth out deliver and to celebrate success
Essential skills and experience
Experience of working in a fast-moving environment, with an ability to handle numerous projects with competing deadlines and priorities
Strong Agile experience
Workshop and requirement gathering techniques
Creation of Agile artifacts and traditional technical specifications
Gap analysis
Data modelling
Process mapping
Root cause analysis
The ideal candidate
You will be an experienced Agile Business Analyst who has come from a commercial environment and who is passionate about delivering value and confident enough to identify issues and propose solutions pro-actively. You will be au fait with working with C-suite stakeholders, senior management teams and working with relevant industry bodies. Experience of working within the Utilities sector working in a similar role, SDLC experience and traditional waterfall projects and scrum master experience would all be advantageous. Real world experience of CRM implementation either external or internal would also be beneficial.
