About Autism Plus
Autism Plus are a leading Yorkshire Charity supporting adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs.
In 1986 the Charity was created by a group of parents looking for the very best support for their children who were about to leave a specialist school. Once they reached the age of 17, they found there was little or no support. The belief set by our founding parents, to empower more people to live independent, fulfilling lives remains our focus today.
We employ over 350 people across the north of England in care support services, employment support and social enterprise businesses.

We’re looking for a passionate, motivated Specialist Employment Coach to join our growing Employment Services team in Doncaster. Working primarily from a youthfocused hub, you will provide individualised, personcentred support to young people with neurodiverse conditions and/or SEND, helping them move closer to meaningful and sustainable employment, education, training or volunteering outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide tailored onetoone employability support to young people, helping them identify strengths, build confidence and develop essential skills.
Deliver practical coaching on CV writing, applications, interview skills, communication and workplace expectations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers, promoting inclusive recruitment and workplace adjustments.
Work in partnership with colleagues in the youthfocused hub and community services to provide joinedup support.
Support young people to prepare for employment and transition successfully into work, education, training or volunteering.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records in line with Autism Plus policies.
Represent Autism Plus at local events and networks, helping raise awareness and create opportunities for those we support.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting young people and/or adults with neurodiversity, SEND or multiple barriers.
Strong coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with employers and external partners.
A compassionate, empowering and personcentred approach.
Good organisational skills, resilience and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge of local labourmarket opportunities and employment pathways.
A full driving licence and willingness to travel locally.
