Data and Exams Officer
Reporting to the Head of Academics, the Data and Exams Officer will lead the maintenance and management of the school's Management Information Systems (MIS) such as iSAMS and Connect. The role involves overseeing student data collection, reporting, and coordinating all internal and external examinations. The position commences February '26 and is term-time only, with additional duties during GCSE and A Level exam result days.
Key Responsibilities
Data
* Work with Heads of Academics to manage and be accountable for the use of the school MIS to support student data, including classes, timetable, extra‑curricular activities, and end‑of‑term/year processing.
* Support teaching staff in the timely production and distribution of academic reports, including termly objectives and course outlines.
* Support parent and student access to the MIS via the parent and student portals.
* Lead on the management of the iSAMS exam package, importing base data from various awarding bodies.
Exams
* Familiarize with all regulations laid out in JCQ rulebooks on conduct of exams, coursework, controlled assessment, access arrangement, malpractice and general regulations; share and disseminate these to staff, students, and parents.
* Develop and monitor policies and procedures to ensure the school abides by all JCQ regulations.
* Liaise with awarding bodies on all aspects of examinations.
* Liaise with SENCo on a regular basis to ensure that access arrangements deadlines are met and sufficient resources are available for approved students.
* Collate exam entries and submit them by the deadline, ensuring they are checked.
* Collate a summer public exams timetable for the school and inform staff, students, and parents as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience of data management/exam coordination.
* Excellent organisational and IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Previous experience working in education would be desirable.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, especially during exam/reporting periods.
