About the Role
Leicestershire County Council have been implementing their new Care Technology Service within adult social care since May 2022. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Support Officer to join our well established and supportive team in providing Care Technology.
The aim of the new Care Technology Service is to assist people in remaining independent for longer, stay at home and give people their confidence back. The new service positively impacts a wide range of stakeholders across the council and across the local health and care system, from care professionals and wider staff to people who need support, their carers and family members.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about providing and delivering positive outcomes through the use of care technology alongside other support methods that the individual may or may not receive from adult social care.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the administration of the day-to-day operational Care Technology service, ensuring that it is efficient and responsive to the needs of LCC and partner staff and service users.
To assist in handling the receipt of phone calls and processing information to the Care technology Team, dealing or re-directing as necessary queries from other professionals or members of the public.
To work closely with Care technology Team in order to provide support, facilitating the throughput of work, co-ordinating and if required setting up meetings
To support with the assistance of the inputting of any data and maintenance of database.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
1. NVQ Level 2 Business Administration or equivalent administrative or secretarial qualification
Or
2. Equivalent level of demonstrable and relevant experience of working in an administrative field.
3. To work flexibly and to be able to prioritise workloads to meet changing deadlines and quantities of work, as well as being able to recognise, and appropriately escalate, situations that warrant further attention.
4. To be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative (to resolve queries or problems) or as part of a team.
Have knowledge of:
5. The importance of customer service, confidentiality, equal opportunities and the work of Adults and Communities.
Have Experience of:
6. Experience of working in an Adults & Communities multi-agency/team setting.
7. Using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point to a high standard.
8. Experience of developing and maintaining computer-based and manual record systems and organising tasks to meet competing priorities.
