We’re working in partnership with a well-established and values-driven Housing Association based in Birmingham to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative HR team and make an immediate impact by supporting managers with a wide range of employee relations matters.
The Role
As an ER Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering a proactive and pragmatic ER service across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload while also building capability within the management team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing end-to-end employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues
* Providing clear, practical advice to managers in line with policies and employment law
* Coaching and upskilling managers to build confidence in handling ER matters
* Supporting on complex cases and ensuring consistent, fair outcomes
* Contributing to continuous improvement of ER processes and practices
About You
We’re looking for a confident and approachable ER professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
* Proven experience handling a broad range of ER casework
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law
* Experience coaching and influencing managers
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
